“I lost my chance to relocate abroad ” — Lady recounts regret over broken relationship

A woman has shared how fear triggered by a spiritual warning led to the collapse of her relationship and a missed opportunity to relocate abroad.

The incident dates back to 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown, when she said she was in a committed relationship with a man she deeply loved.

According to her, the relationship thrived despite the restrictions, and her partner, whom she described as financially comfortable, provided care and support throughout that period.

In 2021, after travel restrictions eased, the man relocated to the United States with plans for her to join him shortly after. She began processing her visa and international passport, awaiting final approval.

Prophecy sparks fear, leads to fallout

However, the situation took a turn after a friend introduced her to a prophet for spiritual guidance.

During the session, she said the cleric warned her against travelling, claiming she would not survive abroad and alleging her partner had harmful intentions.

“The prophet told me not to travel, saying he saw that I would d!e if I went and that my boyfriend wanted to use me for something fetish. I became very scared and didn’t know what to think,” she said.

She added, “I called my boyfriend immediately and confronted him. Instead of understanding, he got angry and questioned why I went to see the prophet. He blocked me everywhere, and that was how everything ended.”

Lingering regret years after

She noted that similar cases of strained relationships linked to external influence were reported during and after the lockdown period, as uncertainty drove many to seek spiritual direction.

“I still regret that decision till today. I lost my chance to leave the country because of that prophecy, and I sometimes wish I handled things differently,” she added.
