“I hope so” – Cardi B fuels romance rumours with Maduka Okoye, hints at more appearances together
American rapper Cardi B has fueled dating speculation involving Nigerian footballer Maduka Okoye after hinting that fans could see more of the Udinese goalkeeper.
Cardi made the comment during an interview with Vogue Arabia published on August 27, 2026, where she spoke about her recent fashion week appearances and her time with Okoye.

The pair were photographed together at Viktor & Rolf’s show during Paris Fashion Week in July, drawing attention to their growing closeness.
Speaking about Okoye, Cardi described the 27-year-old Nigerian goalkeeper as being different from the impression he gives on social media.
In her words:
“He was really sweet. When you see him on social media, he looks very strict, stern, but he is very kind.”
The rapper was then asked whether fans should expect to see more of the footballer, to which she responded with a giggle:
“I hope so.”
The remarks have added fresh fuel to speculation surrounding the pair, who were later spotted having dinner with friends at Gio’s restaurant inside The St. Regis Venice.
Neither Cardi nor Okoye has confirmed that they are romantically involved, but their repeated appearances together have continued to attract attention.
