“I have N3bn” – B-Lord offers to buy Mr Woodberry’s 152 Bitcoins from FBI

Linus Ifejika, the Chief Executive Officer of BLord Group, has expressed a keen interest in acquiring the 152 bitcoins confiscated from notorious internet fraudster Olalekan Jacob Ponle, widely known as Mr Woodberry, by the FBI.

Reports suggest that the United States authorities, specifically the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), are planning to sell the seized bitcoins after Ponle’s admission of guilt to an $8 million wire fraud scheme.

According to a document filed on July 8 at the U.S District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Mr Woodberry has agreed to forfeit all proceeds related to the wire fraud he committed under the alias ‘Mark Kain’.

As part of the legal proceedings, interested individuals were called upon by the federal authorities to file a claim for the bitcoins within a 30-day period and provide valid documentation.

The FBI assured that they would notify any person with a legitimate claim concerning the property.

In response to this development, Linus Ifejika, representing BLord Group, has approached the Federal Bureau of Investigation with a tempting offer. Ifejika stated that he has access to N3 billion and is willing to utilize it to purchase Mr Woodberry’s 152 bitcoins.

In a tweet directed at the FBI, he further expressed his readiness to engage in the transaction, mentioning the availability of the funds and suggesting that the trade could be conducted through Jetpay.ng or WhatsApp.

He also specified that interested parties should only provide a Wells Fargo account, while noting that the current exchange rate stands at 780/$.
