“I have done my part…” – Sowore speaks after BLord’s bail release

Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has spoken out after the Federal High Court in Abuja granted bail to cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as BLord.
The ruling follows days of public attention surrounding the case, with reports indicating that tensions have eased and the matter is now beginning to settle.
As part of the bail conditions, the court ordered the seizure of his international passport, restricting him from travelling while proceedings continue.
Sowore Confirms Bail Outcome
Sowore confirmed the development shortly after the ruling, stating that his role in the matter had been concluded.
In his words: “I have done my part in this case. BLORD has been granted bail…“
He also noted that involvement in activism comes with consequences and said he is prepared for whatever follows his actions.
Sowore on His Broader Mission
Sowore emphasized that his involvement was not personal but part of a wider advocacy effort. He explained that the bail marks the end of this phase of engagement.
According to him, he is now shifting focus to other ongoing cases and broader political issues ahead of future elections.
Call for Youth Unity
He further urged Nigerian youths to stay united and focus on accountability in governance rather than internal conflicts, stressing that division weakens collective progress.
