“I hate losing” – Nwaiwu frustrated after Trabzonspor defeat to Fenerbahce

Trabzonspor defender Chibuike Nwaiwu has expressed disappointment following his side’s 3-2 defeat to Fenerbahce in Saturday’s Turkish Super Lig encounter.
The match carried significant implications in the title race, with both teams seeking to close the gap on leaders Galatasaray. However, it was Fenerbahce who capitalised, reducing the deficit at the top to three points after 22 matches.
Five-goal contest
Trabzonspor made an early statement when Ernest Muci opened the scoring in the sixth minute.
The advantage was short-lived, as Anderson Talisca levelled for the visitors in the 15th minute before Kerem Aktürkoğlu gave Fenerbahce the lead in the 34th minute.

Paul Onuachu restored parity for the hosts just before half-time, heading home in the 43rd minute to make it 2-2.
The decisive moment arrived three minutes into the second half when Marco Asensio found the net, a goal that ultimately settled a competitive contest.
The defeat leaves Trabzonspor 10 points behind the league leaders and seven adrift of Fenerbahce, dealing a setback to their title ambitions.
Nwaiwu reflects on defeat
Speaking after the match, Nwaiwu acknowledged the team’s effort but admitted frustration at the outcome.
“We tried to give our best, but football is like that – sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. We fought hard, but unfortunately it didn’t go the way we wanted,” he said.
“I hate losing. I kept replaying that moment in my head. I wanted to reflect and relive the atmosphere on the pitch to help myself regroup.”
