“I feel…” — Man cries out as wife’s family completely moves into his house

A 34-year-old businessman has shared his emotional struggle over what he described as overwhelming financial and family pressure following his marriage to a younger woman.

The man, who narrated his experience in a lengthy post circulating online, said his once thriving business and peaceful life have been shaken by the responsibilities he took on after getting married.

He explained that his mother had encouraged him to settle down after he became successful in business.

According to him, he eventually met and married a 25-year-old woman after a short courtship.

Man recounts journey to success

The businessman said his journey to success began after a difficult period in his youth.

He revealed that he had to drop out of college at the age of 20 following the death of his father, forcing him to work hard to support his mother and three younger siblings.

He said he took up several odd jobs alongside his mother in order to cover family bills and pay school fees for his siblings.

By the time he turned 25, he had saved enough money to establish an electronics business, which later became successful.

According to him, seven years later, his business had grown significantly, allowing him to acquire three houses and three luxury cars.

Marriage agreement leads to family burden

The man said he met his wife’s family after a three-month relationship before their wedding.

He claimed that during the meeting, the family made it clear that their daughter was “their most precious child” and that they expected the man who married her to support their entire family financially.

The businessman said he agreed at the time because his business was flourishing. However, he explained that things began to change shortly after the wedding.

Six months into the marriage, he said two of his wife’s sisters moved into their home.

He added that when his wife became two months pregnant, her parents and the rest of her siblings also moved into the house, saying they wanted to support her during pregnancy.

Rising expenses create tension

Two years later, the man said the entire family is still living with him and depending on him financially.

He stated that he now spends large amounts of money on bills and regular financial requests from his wife’s relatives.

The businessman also alleged that his wife refuses to allow his own mother or siblings to visit their home, claiming the house is already full because of her family members.

According to him, whenever he raises the issue of asking her family to leave, his wife becomes angry and threatens to walk out of the marriage.

Business struggles and emotional stress

The man said his financial situation has worsened as his business began to struggle.

He revealed that he recently sold one of his houses in order to raise funds and keep his business running.

The situation became more painful, he said, when his mother-in-law recently demanded money to buy a new phone.

When he explained that his business was not doing well, he said she replied that he should have “left her daughter for the rich man they were planning to give her to” if he could not take care of their needs.

The businessman said the pressure has left him physically and emotionally exhausted.

He added that he had planned to sponsor his siblings to study abroad, but all his income is now being spent on the needs of his wife’s relatives.

The man said the situation has also created distance between him and his own family members, leaving him feeling isolated.

“I feel completely alone,” he said while asking members of the public for advice on how to handle the situation and save both his marriage and his business.
