“I feel disrespected” – Man angry as wife refuses to hand over ‘her business’ to him

A married man has sparked massive reactions online after expressing his frustration over his wife’s refusal to hand over her thriving business to him.

The story, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @KeruboSk, has since gone viral.

Husband’s Ego Bruised by Wife’s Success

The man, reportedly in his mid-30s, explained that before their marriage, he admired his wife’s drive and entrepreneurial spirit, which was part of what drew him to her.

However, after tying the knot, he found it challenging to cope with the fact that she earns significantly more than he does, which has affected his self-esteem and confidence in the relationship.

Wife Turns Down Request

He revealed that he suggested she transfer ownership of her business to him so he could “lead it as the husband” while she continued to support him.

The wife, however, immediately shut down the business rather than hand over control, insisting she could not give up what she had spent years building.

Questioning the Marriage

The man stated that her decision left him feeling disrespected and undervalued. He revealed that he has started questioning whether his wife truly values him or their marriage.

In his words: “I’m a married man in my mid-30s, and if I’m being honest, my ego is bruised.
Before we got married, my wife already had a thriving business. I admired her drive — that’s what drew me to her.
But marriage has changed how it feels. She earns far more than I do, and it’s messing with my head.
I suggested she put the business in my name so I could lead it as the husband while she supports. She shut it down immediately, saying she can’t hand over what she’s spent years building.
Now I feel disrespected, and I’m starting to question whether she truly values me or this marriage.”
