Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed the five items he never travels without, saying his wedding ring is the most precious because it symbolises his commitment to his wife.
The award-winning singer made the revelation during an interview with Mystery Fashionist, where he discussed his love for fashion, luxury accessories and shopping habits.
According to Davido, his passion for looking good dates back to his childhood. Although his busy schedule no longer allows him to shop personally as often as before, he now relies on a stylist to help with his fashion choices.
Davido explains why wedding ring means the most
Speaking during the interview, the singer said his wife remains a major influence on his shopping habits, revealing that he rarely leaves a store without buying something for her.
Davido said, “I like to look good since I was young, I like to go shopping. I don’t have the time; now I have my stylist. I bought my wife some heels the other day. Every time I enter a shop, trust me, I’m leaving with something for my wife; she’s the reason I do all this.”
He further explained why his wedding ring holds greater value than any other piece of jewellery he owns.
The singer added, “My wedding ring is my most precious, most important piece of jewellery because I have a vow to follow. A ring is a symbol to show I have a partner; stay away, I’m taken.”
Singer lists his travel essentials
Davido also listed the five items he always travels with: an American passport, Bottega headphones, an 18k Rolex wristwatch, his wedding ring and a Cuban link chain weighing over a kilogram, which he said is worth nearly one million dollars.
His comments have sparked admiration online, with many fans praising his public display of love and commitment to his wife while applauding his candid reflections on marriage.
