“I don’t pay bolt drivers” – Lady brags, shares her ride experiences in Lagos and Uyo
A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after boasting about how she allegedly gets free rides from bolt drivers in Uyo.
In a viral video share of X (formerly Twitter), she compared her experience with drivers in Uyo and Lagos, claiming there is a clear difference in how they respond to her.
In her words, she said:
“Bolt guys in Uyo are so cheap. When I say cheap, they are very cheap. I ordered a bolt in Uyo and spoke to the guy calmly, and he already fell for it. He told me not to worry about paying, that it was a free ride because I’m a beautiful girl.”
She went on to recount a different experience in Lagos, where the same approach did not work with a driver.
According to her, the Lagos driver insisted on payment and made it clear that there would be consequences if she refused to pay.
“But in Lagos, I used the same tactics and the guy told me, ‘Madam, it’s either you pay me my money or we will have issues.’ I was shocked.
Lagos guys are not playing with their money. Uyo bolt guys are very cheap, I don’t pay cab guys in Uyo. Why would I pay when I have this voice?” she added.
Her statement has stirred conversations online, with many Nigerians reacting to her claims and sharing their own experiences with ride-hailing drivers across different cities.
One user wrote, “So Uyo Bolt drivers are basically Santa Claus on wheels? 😂” Another added, “Next thing you know, someone’s teaching a MasterClass on free rides in Uyo😅.”
