“I don’t cook…” – Lady sparks debate after listing things she doesn’t do as a Gen Z wife
A lady has sparked debate online after revealing some of the things she does as a Gen Z wife that many consider unusual.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she explained that she does not follow every traditional expectation placed on wives.
Instead, she and her husband share responsibilities in a way that works for both of them.
“I don’t wash my husband’s clothes. My husband washes his clothes and mine together,” she said.
The lady noted that she is not trying to fit into society’s idea of a “perfect wife.” According to her, marriage has not changed her personality or lifestyle.
She also disclosed that she does not cook every day. Rather than placing all household duties on one person, she believes couples should work together and support each other.
She added that whenever they are tired, they either eat out or find other alternatives.
“I’m not trying to look married. I dress to be comfortable, alive and sexy. I just got married, I’m not losing my style. I don’t cook every day. If I’m tired, we rest or eat out,” she added.
Her remarks have generated mixed reactions online. While some people praised her modern approach to marriage, others argued that traditional marital roles should still be respected.
The discussion has once again sparked conversations about how Gen Z couples are redefining marriage roles and expectations in today’s society.
