“I cried like a baby” – Lady shares emotional experience helping a young boy

A kindhearted Nigerian lady has touched many on social media after sharing her moving encounter with a young boy.

The lady, identified as @cocoofabuja on X (formerly Twitter), recounted an emotional experience she had while at her POS stand. Her post quickly gained attention, drawing praise from netizens.

Seeing a Boy Struggle

In her post, describing what she witnessed, she wrote: “I have never cried like I cried today in a long while. A boy was coming back from school and passed by my POS stand, only for him to pick up a takeaway pack from the ground with leftover food in it and went to sit somewhere to eat.”

She explained that she hadn’t noticed him at first, but a friend pointed out what he was doing, which made her feel emotional.

Offering Help

Feeling emotional, she called the boy over, told him to discard the leftover food, and gave him ₦1,000 to buy proper food. She added that he even brought back change for her.

“I cried like a baby. I told him whenever he closes from school, he should stop by and collect money for lunch from me. I don’t have much, but I have taken it upon myself to buy him lunch from now on,” she shared.
