“I can’t manage a poor man” – Lady blasts men flooding her DM after ₦7M loss confession

A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after calling out men flooding her inbox following her revelation that she lost ₦7 million on an unprofitable venture.

In a viral video shared on TikTok, she lamented that she has had no peace since making the disclosure, as different men have been sending her unsolicited messages — mostly because of the amount she mentioned.

Speaking in the video, she said:

“Since I posted the video that I wasted my 7m on something that was not profitable, I have not rested. Men have been coming to my inbox, disturbing me left and right, simply because I mentioned 7m.

And the funniest thing is that all of them coming don’t have money. They’ll be saying, ‘I know that you are bigger than me, but once I have money, I will take good care of you. Even now, I can serve you.’”

Expressing her frustration, the lady made it clear that she is not interested in entertaining such advances, especially from men who are not financially stable.

According to her, she cannot be in a relationship where she has to “manage” a man’s financial struggles, stressing that men should focus on improving themselves instead.

“I’m not a girl that can be managing any man’s poverty. I’m not like my mum. I cannot manage your poverty. If you know you are poor, go and work. Don’t come to me. I don’t need anyone to serve me; I don’t want a poor man as a boyfriend,” she added.

Her statement has since triggered mixed reactions online, with some supporting her stance on financial stability in relationships, while others criticised her for being harsh and materialistic.
