Speaking on the allegations, Nimmy’s father insisted that he could not have harmed his daughter, explaining that she personally informed him when she was already at the hospital for fibroid surgery.

In his words:

“I can’t kill my child. She called me that she was already at the hospital for fibroid surgery. I asked why she didn’t tell me earlier. I know people who treat it with herbs.”

He disclosed that Nimmy told him her scan fees had already been paid and that the surgery would cost ₦3.6 million. According to him, he suggested a doctor he knew in Abeokuta instead.

The grieving father also addressed the controversy surrounding Nimmy’s house, explaining that she had told him she wanted to build her own property. He claimed he informed the family elders, who agreed to allocate a portion of their family land to her.

“While I was building the house for her, she begged me not to let her mother know about it. The first land she bought was through her mother. Her mother later sold the land,” he added.

His account comes amid the ongoing disagreement between Nimmy’s parents over her burial and the ownership of the property where she was laid to rest.

The dispute has added another layer to the controversy following the actress’ death after reported complications from fibroid surgery.
