“I can enter the house…” – Woman goes viral after clashing with her husband over late-night return
A Nigerian woman has gone viral online after clashing with her husband over her late return home at night, sparking heated reactions on social media.
The incident reportedly began when the husband called her to question why she was still outside at odd hour and had not returned, expressing concern over the time.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) shared by @Teeniiola, the woman responded angrily, saying:
“Where did you send me to, and why are you asking me about my movement or where I am? Didn’t I tell you I was going to work? Am I a lost needle that they are looking for? Please don’t disturb me oo.”
She made it clear that she felt disrespected by the questioning, especially considering her role in supporting the household financially.
The woman further defended her independence, stressing that she had already informed her husband she would be working late and that her efforts were solely for the family’s survival.
“When you refused to work, won’t the children eat? Abi is it not your mate that will go out and look for what their family will eat? Please don’t disturb me oo. I can choose to enter the house at any given time,” she added.
According to husband, her reactions was influenced by the fact that he is currently unemployed and unable to fully provide for the family.
The exchange quickly sparked reactions online. One user wrote, “Even if he is jobless, respect should still remain in marriage.”
Another commented, “If she is the one feeding the family, she deserves some understanding too.”
