“I blocked her…” — Lady blocks her secondary school best friend, gives reason

A social media post has sparked mixed reactions after a lady revealed why she ended her long-standing friendship with her former secondary school best friend.
The lady, who shared her thoughts on X, said she no longer feels connected to the friend she once held dear.
Her post has since triggered debates online about growth, class differences and the true meaning of friendship.
“I Have Outgrown the Friendship”
According to her, the friendship dates back to their secondary school days. However, she believes life has taken them in completely different directions.
She explained that her friend is married with two children from different fathers. She also noted that the woman works as a tailor but is “not that skilled.”
In contrast, she described herself as unmarried and without children. She suggested that their lifestyles and priorities no longer align.
The woman recalled that the last time she visited her friend was five years ago. During that visit, she claimed they struggled to find things to discuss.
“She wanted to buy me an eggroll a girl was hawking and ‘minerals’ I told her not to bother,” she wrote.
Blocking Her Former Best Friend
The poster added that her friend still expects her to visit whenever she returns home, just like in the old days. However, she said she no longer sees the need to continue the relationship.
“We do not have anything in common at all again,” she stated.
Believing she had “outgrown” the friendship, the woman said she eventually blocked her friend’s contact to stop further communication.
“There’s no point pretending to be friends with her,” she concluded.
