“I billed him on our first date” — Lady shares how she married husband after three months of dating

A lady has sparked discussion online after sharing the story of how she met and married her husband within three months of dating.

In a post that has attracted attention on social media, the woman recounted how she approached her relationship differently after deciding she would no longer go out of her way to earn affection or prove her worth to a partner.

According to her, her husband paid for her transportation on their first date and also covered a food bill exceeding N100,000.

She added that he provided takeaways after the outing and later fulfilled her request for a wig just a week into their relationship.

A different approach to dating

The woman explained that before meeting her husband, she had resolved to stop being what she described as an “understanding girlfriend.”

She said she was no longer willing to overextend herself in relationships and believed that anyone who genuinely wanted to be with her would make that intention clear through their actions.

Reflecting on the early days of their relationship, she revealed that she did not take on domestic responsibilities such as cooking, cleaning or doing laundry for him during the first two months they dated.

“I billed him on our first date. He paid for my Uber. I ate food worth over 100k and he still got me takeaways.”

Marriage after three months

The woman further disclosed that within two months, both families had met and completed a formal introduction.

She said she only began doing “the little things naturally” after that stage of the relationship, adding that they got married in the third month and have now been married for six years with children.
