“I almost landed in trouble” – Phyna makes U-turn after allegedly saying she wasn’t paid ₦100m BBNaija Prize money

BBNaija Level Up winner Josephine “Phyna” Otabor has cleared the air following a viral clip that suggested she had not received her ₦100 million grand prize, admitting the video nearly landed her in serious legal trouble.

Viral Clip Misleads Fans

Earlier this week, a clip from one of Phyna’s Twitch livestreams resurfaced online, sparking debate over whether she was still alleging unpaid prize money.

Many viewers, reacting only to the short clip, assumed the reality star was raising concerns over the ₦100 million she won years ago.

 “I Never Said I Wasn’t Paid”

Phyna quickly addressed the situation in a follow-up livestream, insisting that her comments were taken out of context.

“They keep cutting my video. I never said I have not received my 100 million naira. I was only talking to people who asked me if the 100 million has finished,” she explained.

She added that her remarks were meant for social media users who questioned why she is now focusing on streaming despite winning the grand prize years earlier.

Legal Trouble Almost Ensued

According to Phyna, the edited clip almost reopened a legal confrontation with MultiChoice, the organisers of BBNaija.

The producers were reportedly displeased after seeing the misleading video.

I told them to watch the complete video. It was cut. People are doing it intentionally,” she said.

Warning to Bloggers

The reality star also issued a stern warning to bloggers and social media pages that crop her videos to twist her words.

“Anybody who cuts my video to twist it—if it brings any problem, I will sue,” she stated.

Phyna urged fans and the public to always check the full context before reacting to viral clips.

She emphasized that her relationship with BBNaija and her prize money has long been settled, and she has moved on to new ventures, including her streaming career.
