Hull City vs Manchester United: Rashford starts from bench as new signings make debuts
Marcus Rashford has been named among the substitutes as Manchester United begin their Premier League campaign away to Hull City on Saturday.
The England international returned to United following loan spells at Aston Villa and Barcelona and will have to wait for his first competitive appearance of the new season.

Tielemans and Santos handed United debuts
New signings Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos were both named in Michael Carrick’s starting XI for their competitive debuts.
Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez also made the team, while Rashford was joined on the bench by a number of United’s established players.
The decision to leave Rashford out of the starting XI comes with his future at Old Trafford still attracting considerable attention before the transfer deadline.
The 28-year-old has, however, returned to the squad in good spirits and has been praised by Carrick for his approach in training.
“He’s our player,” Carrick said. “He arrived back with Kobbie [Mainoo], and Lisandro [Martinez] came the day after, and he’s part of the group like anybody else.”
“He came in, he’s trained really well.”
Rashford takes over Man Utd’s No. 9 shirt
Rashford has been handed United’s vacant No. 9 shirt following Rasmus Hojlund’s permanent move to Napoli.
The forward previously wore the No. 10 shirt, but that number now belongs to summer signing Matheus Cunha.
The No. 9 has previously been worn by several United legends, including Sir Bobby Charlton, Andy Cole and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Carrick has also indicated that he believes Rashford can still play an important role for the club despite the uncertainty surrounding his long-term future.
“Marcus can offer us so much. He has done, and he can do again,” the United boss said.
