The philanthropist recently attempted to break the Guinness world record for the longest chess marathon in New York.

Even though the results have not been announced officially, many are certain he is on his way to becoming a world record holder.

Perhaps as an appreciation for the great work he is doing for children in the slums, a kind individual gifted Tunde’s parents a house.

The chess master could not hold back his joy and took to his Twitter account to express his gratitude.

Even though his father did not initially support his hobby of playing chess, in many other ways he came through for him and he confesses his mother has always been a strong emotional support for him.

In Tunde’s words;

“Someone gifted my parents a new house today. It’s the single greatest thing anyone will ever do for me in this lifetime. Thank you
My mother worked as a cleaner in the same school I attended so I could get an education while my dad worked as a Danfo driver/bus conductor so we could feed and survive.

My greatest joy in life is to be able to give them both the life they truly deserve❤️”
