How Juju man tried to cast spell on me but failed – Nathaniel Bassey

Nigerian gospel minister and pastor Nathaniel Bassey has recounted an encounter with an alleged traditional spiritualist who he claimed attempted to place him under a spell.
The cleric said the incident occurred along an express road and marked the second time the individual had approached him.

According to Bassey, the man knocked on his car window and began what he described as an enchantment intended to influence him.
He explained that he responded by declaring Bible verses affirming divine protection and expressed confidence that the alleged spell would not succeed. Bassey said the man lingered briefly before he eventually ordered him to leave the scene.
Reflecting on the experience, the pastor stated that his testimony was not meant to glorify evil but to underscore his belief in spiritual realities and the power of faith.
His words …
“I don’t know how we knew, but this was the second time that this same guy, the ‘juju man,’ was coming.
“One time on the express road, he came and knocked. He was casting an enchantment, hoping that it would influence me. He was commanding me to do something, but I just stood there and laughed.
“I said, didn’t they tell you that as they went from one kingdom to another, He suffered no man to do them wrong; He rebuked kings for their sake, saying, ‘Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm’?
“I just regretted that I should have kept him there for the police. While he was there, he was waiting for the spell to work on me. But Numbers 23:23 says there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel.
“I came out of my car and ordered him to get out of here, you dirty devil, quick. I’m not saying this to boast, but while we do not glorify the devil, there is wickedness in the world.”
