“He’s trying to get back” – Man speaks out following Destiny Boy’s alleged passing, cries out about Lyta

A Nigerian man has spoken out on the reported passing of Afro-beat singer Destiny Boy, reflecting on the pressures young artists face in the music industry.

In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @Teniola, he alleged that the 22-year-old seemed to be trying to make a comeback to the limelight when tragedy struck, with reports claiming he passed away at a traditionalist place.

According to him, he questioned why help doesn’t reach artists like Destiny Boy in time, asking in vernacular:”

“Is it when Lyta passes away too before anyone will offer support?”

He lamented how life can be too harsh for young talents who have tasted even a little wealth and fame, noting that such artists may struggle to adjust to ordinary life and are often mocked when they stumble.

“Please, let’s use this moment to remember Lyta. Even if it’s just for Olamide to give him one verse, please help him,” he added.

Lyta, a former signee of YBNL Records owned by Olamide, reportedly left the label some years back after claiming he wanted to be signed by a new record label.

It was alleged that he made some comments about the label boss, which led to a complete severing of ties.

His words have sparked conversations about the pressure, mental health, and support systems available for rising stars in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
