“He will suffer till he kpai” — Woman lays curse on her husband

A Nigerian woman has sparked conversations online after sharing a deeply emotional story about her 13-year marriage, revealing how she repeatedly laid curses on her husband during difficult periods in their relationship.
In a lengthy post circulating on social media, the woman narrated how her husband had nothing when they first got married.
According to her, things changed two years later when he began to make money and acquired cars and landed properties.
She claimed that his behaviour changed after he became financially successful, accusing him of neglecting his responsibilities at home while appearing generous to others outside.
Woman recounts years of hardship in marriage
The woman said the situation left her emotionally drained and frustrated. She alleged that she often struggled to get money for feeding despite her husband’s improved financial status.
According to her, the stress pushed her to begin laying curses on him during moments of anger and heartbreak.
She wrote, “When the whole trauma was too much, I started laying curses on him. With tears and heavy heart, each day he provoked me, I would lay curses on him.”
She explained that her main prayer at the time was for his finances to collapse so that, in her words, his ego and lifestyle would reduce.
Husband reportedly lost job for three years
The woman further claimed that shortly after the curses, her husband lost his job and struggled financially for about three years, from 2020 to 2023.
During that period, she said she became the one providing for the household while her husband stayed unemployed.
She added that the experience appeared to humble him and revealed several issues in their marriage.
Eventually, she said she attended a church she discovered online, where a female preacher reportedly told her that her words carried spiritual power.
According to her, she was advised to stop cursing her husband and begin praying for him instead.
Relationship problems resurface
She said she later started praying for her husband and, not long after, his financial situation improved again.
However, the woman alleged that some of his negative behaviours have since returned, especially during disagreements.
She claimed he sometimes stays out late, ignores her calls, and refuses to contribute money for household needs when conflicts arise.
The woman also shared several incidents she described as acts of “wickedness,” including allegedly throwing her phone aside while removing his charger and refusing to wash one of her jeans while washing his own clothes.
Final warning to husband
Frustrated by the situation, the woman said she recently confronted her husband and warned him that she would not hesitate to call on God again if his behaviour continues.
She concluded her story by saying she told him he would “suffer till he dies” if he continues to mistreat her and their children.
