“He uses Infinix, but his account can buy my iPhone 14 Pro Max 10 times” – Man shares shocking discovery about friend
A Nigerian man has shared his surprise after discovering that his friend, who uses an Infinix phone, had enough money in his account to buy his iPhone 14 Pro Max more than 10 times.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), he revealed that he initially assumed his friend was not financially well-off because of the type of phone he used.

According to him, the experience made him realise that expensive phones do not necessarily indicate wealth, as his friend reportedly runs a business where he imports goods from China and other countries for sale in Nigeria.
“My friend just showed me his account balance. This boy is using Infinix, while I’m using a 14 Pro Max. Do you know that the money in his account can buy my phone times ten? I asked him why he was using an Infinix. He told me that time never reach for him to use iPhone.
I first shame. I shame for two reasons. The first shame was, I was using a 14 Pro Max. The second shame was the money in my account.”
The man said the revelation changed his perception of his friend, whom he had previously considered poor because of his choice of phone.
He further warned people who use expensive phones to feel superior to others, noting that having an expensive device does not necessarily mean someone is wealthy.
“Those of you that use iPhone to oppress people, thinking you have arrived or something, you’re just using an expensive phone. You don’t have money. You are not rich. So, go find money, go find money,” he added.
His comments have generated discussions online, with many noting that people’s financial status cannot always be determined by the gadgets they use.
