“He thinks I’m desperate” – Single mum blocks admirer after sending her money

A single mother has sparked discussions online after sharing her experience with an admirer who allegedly crossed boundaries after sending her money.
The story was shared in a viral video posted on X (formerly Twitter) by @general_somto.
Admirer Sends Money
The young woman, who recently celebrated her first year of being single after separating from her ex-husband, recounted how a man living in Germany reached out to her on Facebook.
According to her, the man claimed to like her and wanted to get to know her better.
When she told him she was a single mother, he reportedly said it was not an issue and even offered financial support for her daughter, which she appreciated.
“He stays in Germany. I’m like, okay. He messaged me. He was like, um, are you married? I said no, I’m not married. I’m single. But I have a daughter. I’m a single mother. And he was like, oh, that’s not an issue. He likes me blah blah blah. I really want to get to know me. I said, okay, no problem. I really appreciate the good thing that you did for me and my baby.
Crossing the Line
Two days after sending money for her child, the man asked her to send sexy pictures.
Then after that, like two days later. He asked me to send him sexy pictures. I told him, I said I don’t have sexy pictures. He was like, okay, take for me. Since you don’t have, just snap sexy pictures for me. That’s where the problem started from. This bastard because he sent me money. It’s not even me he sent the money for, it for my baby So you have the audacity to ask me for sexy pictures. I don’t have. He was like, send me, you know, you can take some pictures Just, you know, just send me some of the sexy pictures. I don’t want to see you. So I stopped talking to him. I was like, no, you don’t know that. So I stopped talking to him.”
Standing Her Ground
She explained that being a single mother does not mean she is desperate or unable to support herself.
Despite the man’s repeated messages, she revealed blocked him.
“Do you think because I’m single, I’m a single mother, you think I’m desperate? I’m not desperate. In fact, I’m not even in for any kind of relationship. I have family that supports me. I have a business that I’m doing. So I don’t know why some men think being a single mother means you’re desperate.”
