A lady has shared a dramatic account of her aunt’s marital crisis, revealing how prolonged absence due to business commitments allegedly pushed her husband to take another wife.

The story, narrated by the woman’s niece on social media this week, has stirred conversations about marriage, priorities, and family dynamics.

The aunt, who lives in Abuja with her husband, runs a thriving frozen food business in Ilorin.

According to the niece, attempts to relocate or expand the business to Abuja failed, forcing her aunt to spend most of her time in Ilorin while her husband remained in the capital.

Business success, marital strain

“My aunty’s frozen food business in Ilorin is doing very well, but the Abuja branch she opened didn’t work, so her whole energy stayed in Ilorin. Her husband kept complaining she was never home, but she would agree and still travel back for business and events,” she said noting that the situation persisted for years.

The niece explained that despite repeated warnings, the husband eventually stopped complaining and made a life-changing decision.

Family tension deepens

“The man endured for a long time before deciding to marry another wife who is always around. Now my aunty is trying to stop the wedding, while her children have already accepted the new woman and even attend her events,” the niece added.

She further revealed that her aunt has threatened to disown her children over their acceptance of the new wife.
