“He blocked me because I forgot to clean his house” – Lady shares painful breakup experience

A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing how a man allegedly ended their relationship because she forgot to clean up his apartment after spending the night at his place.

According to a video shared on TikTok by a user identified as @Grow_Withsteph, they had been talking for about two months and only recently started dating before she visited his house for the first time.

She explained that she is naturally forgetful and had even warned him before he left for work that morning.

“I’m the kind of person that is very forgetful. I forget things quickly and easily. He told me, ‘Please help me shut my windows if rain falls,’ and I told him to remind me because I would forget,” she said.

The lady said after the man left for work, she slept off again and later left the house without arranging the bed or throwing away the leftover food he bought for her the previous night.

She revealed that the man later complained that his apartment smelled and looked untidy when he returned home.

Despite apologising repeatedly, he allegedly told her he was no longer interested in the relationship before blocking her everywhere.

“He said it might seem small to me, but it’s big to him. The person that had been telling me ‘I love you’ blocked me everywhere without allowing me respond. This is the first time a man is breaking up with me. I’m always the one doing the breakup,” she added.

The story has generated mixed reactions online, with some people saying cleanliness matters in relationships while others felt the man overreacted.

Social media users continue to debate whether the breakup was justified or if the man acted too harshly over the incident.
