“He asked me to pay ₦52K…” – Lady shares shocking date experience, warns women
A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing her shocking dating experience after a man who invited her out allegedly asked her to pay for her meal after they were done eating.
According to her, she agreed to go on the date after the man showed interest, not expecting what would happen at the end of the outing.
In her words, she said:
“You asked me on a date, and I said okay, let’s give it a trial. I went on the date with you, ordered stir-fried pasta and chicken with juice. After eating, they brought the bill, and it was ₦52,000. You now told me to send my part”.
She explained that she was caught off guard by the request, especially since he was the one who initiated the date and asked her to order whatever she wanted.
Despite the awkward situation, she decided to handle it calmly and avoid any public embarrassment before leaving the scene.
“I just paid the full ₦52,000 and left. I blocked him instantly. If I didn’t have money, what would have happened? My girlies, always go with money so you don’t get embarrassed,” she added.
Social media users have reacted strongly, with many women bashing the man, while others defended splitting bills, saying it depends on the agreement between both parties.
