Goldbridge faults Manchester United move for Wilfred Ndidi

Manchester United fan channel owner Mark Goldbridge has slammed the club’s hierarchy following reports linking the Premier League side with Wilfred Ndidi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Recent reports, led by talkSPORT chief football correspondent Alex Crook, suggest United are discussing a potential loan move for Ndidi, who currently plays for Turkish club Besiktas.
The Nigeria international only joined the Istanbul-based side last summer after leaving Leicester City.

Transfer links trigger fan backlash
The speculation has sparked talks among fans, particularly in Nigeria, where Ndidi’s performances at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations have renewed interest in his profile.
The Super Eagles captain was a key figure during the tournament, which Nigeria finished in third place.
Reacting to the reports, Goldbridge voiced his frustration on social media, questioning the club’s recruitment strategy and long-term ambition.
“Ndidi and Loftus-Cheek… says everything about this club. Fans with standard of Real Madrid. Owners with standards of Stoke,” Goldbridge wrote on X.

United assess midfield options
Manchester United are believed to be exploring short-term midfield reinforcements as they look to stabilise performances and strengthen their push for Champions League qualification.
Injuries, inconsistency and a lack of control in midfield have been recurring issues this season.
Ndidi, 28, is reportedly one of several names under internal consideration, although no official approach has been made to Besiktas.
Loftus-Cheek has also been mentioned as a possible option, adding to concerns among sections of the fanbase about the club’s direction.
No deal yet on the table
Despite the growing speculation, there is no confirmation that United will formalise their interest in Ndidi before the January transfer window closes. The club have not issued any public statement regarding potential incomings.
