“God will trouble those behind these attacks” — Pastor Leke Adeboye prays over insecurity

Pastor Leke Adeboye has sparked reactions online after offering emotional prayers for Nigeria following reports of insecurity, kidnappings and attacks affecting schools and communities across the country.

Speaking during a church gathering, the cleric questioned how criminals could invade schools and abduct innocent children without resistance from citizens and authorities.

He urged Nigerians to unite spiritually against those responsible for violence and insecurity in the nation.

Pastor calls for spiritual action against criminals

“How come they came to kidnap children from school and we didn’t do anything?Even if you couldn’t do anything physically, we can create a problem for them spiritually.”

The pastor called on worshippers to pray that those behind attacks in Nigeria would face confusion and exposure.

So please let us hold hands… that all those troubling this nation, God Almighty will trouble them. There will be confusion amongst them. They would not be at peace. Wherever they are, they would make errors or mistakes that will expose them.”

He also prayed against individuals allegedly sponsoring or secretly supporting criminal activities, asking God to intervene if they refused to change their ways.

The remarks quickly circulated online, with many Nigerians supporting the prayers and expressing frustration over worsening insecurity in parts of the country.

Others, however, argued that beyond prayers, stronger government action and improved security measures were urgently needed.

Nigeria has witnessed several kidnappings and attacks on schools in recent years, with religious leaders, activists and citizens repeatedly calling for decisive action from authorities to protect lives and restore public confidence.
