“God will tell you who to marry” — Media personality Bolanle Olukanni shares her experience

Media personality Bolanle Olukanni has shared a personal experience she believes strengthened her conviction that God can reveal the right life partner.

Speaking in a recent video, Olukanni narrated how she decided not to continue a relationship with a man after having a dream she interpreted as a divine warning.

She later claimed that the man converted to Islam about a year after they stopped dating.

Dream that changed everything

According to Olukanni, the man possessed many of the qualities she desired in a partner.

She described him as a committed Christian, prayerful, kind, thoughtful, and genuinely interested in building a relationship with her.

However, despite his qualities, she said she felt an unexplained hesitation about taking the relationship further.

“I sincerely and truly believe that God tells you who you’re gonna get married to.”

She admitted that although she said she was praying about the relationship, she was not as intentional as she should have been.

The dream and what followed

Olukanni said she later had a vivid dream in which she and the man were standing at the altar on their wedding day. While she was happy in the dream, she noticed he was holding Muslim prayer beads.

She explained that marrying someone from a different faith was not her personal preference because she wanted a Christian husband who shared her beliefs.

Immediately when I woke up, I knew… this can’t go anywhere.”

According to her, the dream confused her because the man was actively involved in Christian activities at the time, including attending church, praying, fasting, and speaking in tongues.

She then revealed that about a year later, the man converted to Islam.

Tell me why a year later, he becomes a Muslim. I kid you not.

‘God will tell you’

Despite the change in his faith, Olukanni said they remain friends and that she still considers him “an amazing human being.”

She said the experience convinced her that God can reveal aspects of a person’s future before they become obvious.

While acknowledging that relationships do not always work out even when people believe they have received divine direction, she encouraged people of faith to seek God’s guidance before choosing a spouse.

“If we ask God… who’s my wife? Who’s my husband? God will tell you.”

Olukanni concluded by saying she would share more experiences on the subject in a follow-up video.
