“God saved me” – Canadian-based Nigerian lady reflects as ex who wanted to marry her asks for money
A Canadian-based Nigerian lady has stirred reactions online after revealing that a man who once wanted to marry her recently called to ask for money.
According to her, the man had planned to marry her before she relocated to Canada, but things did not work out between them.
In her words, she said:
“The man that I would have married for love before I came to Canada called me a few months ago to ask me for money, for me to borrow him money.
He’s still in Nigeria. Broke. If I had married him few months ago this year, I would have been somewhere suffering. Tying wrapper”
Reflecting on the situation, the lady said she couldn’t stop thinking about how different her life might have been if she had gone ahead with the marriage earlier this year.
She further revealed that she’s grateful for the timing of events, implying that things would have been difficult for her had she married him while he was struggling financially.
Her post has since generated mixed reactions online.
