“Girls don’t like each other” — Lady recount her experience with Female soldier in NYSC camp
A lady has narrated a tense encounter at her NYSC camp, revealing how a fellow female soldier nearly slapped her over a cap dispute.
Speaking in a video that has gone viral, the lady described how she calmly confronted the soldier, who eventually backed down after she held her hand and looked her in the eye.
According to the corps member, the incident started when the soldier tried to take her cap.
“She didn’t have good intentions—if she had slapped me in the camp, she would have been in big trouble. Not many people are as calm as me,” she said.
She added that the confrontation revealed deeper issues among women: “This shows why life is complicated for girls—we don’t really like ourselves sometimes, and I don’t know why. Only when we like ourselves can we respect each other.”
The video also highlighted the role of the camp command structure, as her friend intervened by reporting the incident to the platoon and the commandant, ensuring the matter was handled without escalation.
She concluded, “This particular girl in her uniform, who always laughs with the boys, tried to prove a point today, but it wasn’t supposed to end in a slap.”
