Gift Orban moves ahead of Osimhen in Turkish Super Lig scoring race
Gift Orban has moved level at the top of the Turkish Super Lig scoring charts after playing a key role in Amedspor’s 3-2 victory over Beşiktaş.
The Nigerian striker opened the scoring before setting up Amedspor’s second goal as they secured an important win against the visitors.

Orban’s goal took his league tally to seven this season, putting him alongside Trabzonspor winger Mohamed Salah at the top of the scoring standings.
Orban strikes early against Beşiktaş
The 23-year-old needed just 13 minutes to make his mark, finding the net to give Amedspor an early advantage.
Orban then turned provider nine minutes later, assisting his side’s second goal as they established a 2-0 lead in the 22nd minute.
Beşiktaş fought back and eventually reduced the deficit before the contest developed into a closely fought encounter, but Amedspor held on to claim all three points.
The performance continued Orban’s productive start to the Turkish top flight, with the forward now having seven goals and two assists this season.
Osimhen now trails compatriot
Orban’s latest contribution has also seen him move ahead of fellow Nigerian Victor Osimhen in the Super Lig scoring race.
Osimhen has scored six league goals for Galatasaray this season and has also provided two assists.
