Ghana and Uruguay crash out of the 2022 World Cup
Ghana and Uruguay won’t be progressing to the next round of the 2022 World Cup despite the South American team getting a 2-0 win over the West African team.
Georgian De Arrascaeta opened the scoring after 26 minutes with a close-range header as he followed up Luis Suarez’s saved effort.
The second goal came after Suarez clipped a ball over the top of the Ghana defence for De Arrascaeta to latch onto and fire home.
As the game entered its final 10 minutes, Uruguay who thought they’ve got the second spot in the group, realized they haven’t done enough as South Korea scored a late winner against group winners Portugal to knock them off the position.
