“For what exactly?” – Lady fumes after talking-stage date requested for food money
A young Nigerian lady has sparked conversations online after sharing her frustration over an awkward experience during a talking stage with a man she met in Asaba.
According to her, the man casually told her he was hungry and expected her to buy him food, even though they were still in the early talking stage.
In her words, she said:
“Imagine talking stage telling me he’s hungry. Talking stage telling a woman he’s hungry. I should buy him food for this early stage. How now?”
She questioned how people even cope with such situations, admitting she was already losing hope about finding a serious man in Asaba.
The lady revealed that she jokingly asked him to send his account number, only to be shocked when he actually did.
“I said send account number. The idiot sent account number. For what exactly?” she added.
Her reaction has since resonated with many women who say they’ve experienced similar situations where men make financial requests far too early.
The story has once again raised conversations around boundaries, expectations, and financial responsibility during the talking stage, with many agreeing that first impressions often say a lot about future intentions.
