“For an hour straight”- Man goes on a cake date, ends up in tears
A man’s post detailing how he got heartbroken by his ex-girlfriend after a cake date has gone viral online.
The man, identified as @heysantos_83 on X (formerly Twitter), disclosed that his ex-girlfriend initially proposed the cake date.

According to @heysantos_83, his ex-girlfriend picked him up from the office and headed to the bakery.
Upon arriving at the bakery, his ex-girlfriend informed the lady who attended to them about their upcoming wedding and intention to purchase a wedding cake.
”The baker was thrilled because my partner told her our budget for the cake was N900k. That was how we managed to have a cake date without paying a cent. The cake was actually quite good”, The tweet reads in part.
Man Gets Heartbroken
However, things took a surprising turn a week after the cake date as she started acting strange.
Meanwhile, he ran into the baker who attended to them during the date.
Sharing details of their encounter, @heysantos_83 narrated, “She asked if we had enjoyed the wedding cake and said she hoped that what they delivered was exactly what we had ordered. I was completely confused because I had no idea what she was talking about. She then added that my “wife” had come in with her brother a week prior to show them the design they wanted, and that someone had picked it up that Saturday”.
However, he reached out to his ex-girlfriend’s best friend who confessed to him that she walked down the aisle.
Sharing the emotional aftermath of the heartbreaking discovery, the X user tweeted, “Took therapy to get me to the place where I am today 😔😔. You have no idea what I went through. I used to stand under the shower for an hour straight, letting the water pour over me”.
