“First time in history” – Man drags Tinubu administration over alleged US airstrike on terrorists

A wave of controversy has erupted across social media after a viral post by an X (formerly Twitter) user, Atikun Sokoto, strongly criticised the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The netizen alleged that, for the first time in Nigeria’s history, foreign airstrikes are being carried out on Nigerian soil, describing the situation as evidence of a “failing administration.”

According to him, the development exposes what he termed gross incompetence in the handling of national security.
In his words, he wrote:
“First time in our history that airstrikes are happening on Nigerian soil because of a failing administration. This Tinubu government has exposed its incompetence, unable to protect citizens and now relying on foreign forces to fight terrorists.”
According to him, foreign military intervention within Nigeria’s undermines the country’s sovereignty and highlights what he sees as government’s inability to independently manage security challenges.
While some social media users agreed, expressing concern over the state of national security crisis, others argued that international cooperation is sometimes necessary in the global fight against terrorism.
The comes after Donald Trump announced that he launched deadly strike on terrorist in the Northwest part of Nigeria who what been attacking innocent Christians.
