First Lady Oluremi Tinubu predicts Nigeria will achieve remarkable economic growth by 2026

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed optimism about the nation’s economic future, forecasting that by 2026, Nigeria will achieve a level of prosperity that could enable it to support other countries.
First Lady honoured with chieftaincy title in Ile-Ife
She made the statement in Ile-Ife, Osun State, following her investiture as Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua during the 10th coronation anniversary of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
The ceremony drew a host of national leaders, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Vice President Nana Shettima, former First Lady Patience Jonathan. Several governors, such as Ademola Adeleke, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Dapo Abiodun. Distinguished traditional rulers, including the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, and the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, were also in attendance.

In her remarks, Mrs Tinubu praised the Ooni for the honour and highlighted the positive changes underway in the country, attributing the anticipated transformation to President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
The Sultan of Sokoto offered prayers for continued national stability and urged leaders to uphold integrity and accountability.
Governor Adeleke commended the Ooni’s decade of leadership, describing it as transformative, and noted government initiatives to modernise Ile-Ife, including road construction and the town’s first flyover.
The First Lady’s address reinforced optimism about Nigeria’s development trajectory and the government’s efforts to deliver tangible results to its citizens.
