Fans resurface old video of Ebuka questioning Sheggz’s treatment of Bella

Fans have resurfaced an old video of Big Brother Naija host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu questioning Bella Okagbue about the name-calling and insults she received from her then-boyfriend, Sheggz, while they were housemates.

In the video, Ebuka asked Bella why she frequently apologised to Sheggz and questioned her decision to tolerate being called words such as “fool,” “sick” and “stupid.”

Ebuka wondered whether the name-calling was a form of love language for Bella, prompting her to explain that she genuinely liked Sheggz and would not normally tolerate such behaviour.

Bella admitted that she was not comfortable with the name-calling but said Sheggz had improved and that they were still working on their relationship.

The conversation went …

Ebuka: “How’re you doing?”

Bella: “I’m fine Ebuka.”

Ebuka:So, I just want an explanation on something. I feel like quite a few times when I tune in you are apologizing to Sheggz for something or the other. And I’m not really sure why that keeps happening. And then I hear you being called fool, sick, you’re stupid and all of those weird words. Is that a love language for you, I’m not sure why you keep taking that, What’s happening?”

Bella:It’s actually not a love language but like… Ebuka I really like him so…I wouldn’t take it on a normal day, but like yeah…I apologise to him because sometimes he feels like I disrespect him…”

Ebuka: “So when you love people you are okay with name calling? I’m just trying to understand that…”

Bella: “I’m actually not okay with it. I’m trying to correct that and he has actually improved a lot, so yeah. We’re still working on getting to know each other….”

The resurfaced clip has attracted renewed attention amid the former couple’s recent breakup and the public dispute surrounding their relationship.
