Fabrizio Romano: Nicolas Jackson’s Bayern switch ‘not over’

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has clarified that Nicolas Jackson’s potential move from Chelsea to Bayern Munich remains on the table, despite the striker’s recent return to London.

Posting on X, Romano wrote: “Nicolas Jackson deal was never off or collapsed, even after formal Bayern letter to return to London.

“Chelsea have depth now with Marc Guiu back to the club and can re-negotiate terms with Bayern, open to solutions. Jackson and Bayern, it’s NOT over.”

Jackson, 24, had been in advanced talks over a switch to the Bundesliga giants, but Chelsea reportedly pulled him back after Liam Delap’s injury on Saturday.

The Senegal international has been linked with an exit throughout the window as Chelsea look to reshape their forward line.

The clarification follows heightened transfer activity in the Premier League, with Newcastle United now moving closer to a £55 million deal for Brentford’s Yoane Wissa as they prepare for Alexander Isak’s record-breaking move to Liverpool.
