“Even to eat is hard” – Lady laments over losing relationship benefits, says being single is difficult
A young Nigerian lady has stirred reactions online after admitting that life has been harder for her since becoming single, especially when it comes to feeding and paying bills.
The lady explained that while she may not necessarily miss the relationship itself, she misses the support her ex-boyfriend used to provide whenever she visited him.
In her words, she said:
“The only thing I miss about being in a relationship is that anytime I visited my ex-boyfriend, he catered for my three square meals, data, and bills. But now that I’m single, even eating breakfast is very hard for me, let alone paying my other bills.”
According to her, being single has made her realise how much financial support she used to receive while she was in the relationship.
She added that the struggle has made her consider entering another relationship soon because she is already tired of handling everything alone.
“At this point, I’m looking forward to entering another relationship because I’m tired,” she added.
Her statement quickly sparked mixed reactions on social media. While some people said relationships should not be based on financial support alone, others admitted that many partners do help each other financially in relationships.
One user wrote, “This is exactly why some people refuse to leave bad relationships.” Another added, “Cost of living has entered relationship matter.” 😂
