“Even spiritual father won’t be able to deliver you” — Man blasts people planning to vote for Tinubu in 2027

A Nigerian man has stirred heated reactions on social media after warning citizens to reflect on the country’s economic hardship ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

In a viral post shared on X, formerly Twitter, the man criticised Nigerians who complain about rising living costs but may still support the current administration during the next election.

Man urges Nigerians to vote based on economic realities

The man pointed to the high prices of fuel, cooking gas and cement, arguing that Nigerians should consider their present economic conditions when deciding who to support in 2027.

“Nigerians, You Buy Fuel For ₦1,300, You Buy Gas For ₦1,400, You Buy Cement ₦13,000–₦14,000 Per Bag. Then On Election Day, You Get To Your Polling Unit And Decide It’s Tinubu You Want To Vote For.

“That Means The Juju That Was Used On You, Even a Spiritual Father Won’t Be Able To Deliver You. If The Suffering We Have Endured In The Past 3 Years Doesn’t Hit You Hard, And You Don’t Hold Your PVC Like Your Life Depends On It, That Means Your Problem Is Bigger Than Me.”

The post generated mixed reactions, with some users agreeing with his concerns while others defended President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies.

Nigerians react to viral post

One user, Nonchalant7, criticised the direction of the discussion, writing:

“If u put a rotten fruit among good ones the rotten fruit go spoil the good ones. It’s best to take out the rotten fruit and destroy it or throw it away. This information is not about rotten fruit.”

Another user, Barcuit, argued that Nigerians had forgotten the economic challenges associated with previous administrations.

“I remembered when they print to top up money to pay allocations and still borrow to subsidise fuel and defend Naira..werey people don forget ..him for don leave the subsidy so Una go Dey cry now.”

Emma_Nuel also recalled a conversation about the impact of fuel subsidy removal.

“I know someone who said it is because of the removal of fuel subsidies that’s why things are more expensive, he said Nigerians are now buying things at the actual prices because the past government was subsidizing the cost of things before…APC people ehn.”

Another commenter, Ophienet, questioned the legitimacy of the current administration’s electoral victory.

“No ody has voted for the man at anytime he hijacks he told his people grab it. No ody is fooled thus bunch of guys now did not win the election but they also managed to corrupt and highjacked a criminal supreme Court.”

However, some commenters argued that voters must also take responsibility for their electoral decisions.

Onydikachi wrote: “Una dey cry about fuel and cement price like say na Tinubu personally dey sell am for roadside. This same people wey dey suffer still go collect 5k and vote him again. Continue to dey shout, 2027 Tinubu go still win and una go still dey complain. Suffering dey build character.”

Meanwhile, Mr. C-Slim claimed that cement prices had risen beyond the figures mentioned in the original post.

“Point of correction Cement is now N15k since last week when I bought a few bags. Not 14k. Guys lets stop wasting our time convincing Tinubu supporters, they knw what they ar doing. They should enjoy it while it last.”
