Erling Haaland faces delay in comeback from injury, reveals Guardiola

Manchester City will have to endure the absence of Erling Haaland for a while longer, as Pep Guardiola reveals disturbing injury update.

Haaland has not played a single match since December 6 due to a foot injury.

He reportedly resumed training ahead of last Sunday’s FA Cup win against Huddersfield, however, Guardiola has now disclosed that he experienced discomfort and was advised by doctors to rest for at least another week.

Meanwhile, the striker later shared a bare-chested image wearing a breathing aid, accompanied by the caption “think outside the box,” on social media.

Guardiola on Friday admitted that Haaland’s recovery has taken longer than expected, citing a bone injury that requires time to heal.

However, he is hopeful that a warm-weather training camp in Abu Dhabi could aid Haaland’s recovery process.

City’s upcoming fixtures, including an FA Cup tie against Tottenham, could potentially see Haaland’s return to the squad.
