EPL: Nigerian duo Bassey, Iwobi seal win for Fulham against Manchester United

Fulham picked a dramatic 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford, courtesy of Alex Iwobi and Calvin BasseyBassey.

Iwobi who emerged as the hero for the Cottagers, netted a 97th winner.

Fulham took the lead in the second half through Calvin Bassey’s goal, to stun the home crowd. It was Bassey’s first ever Premier League goal since joining the club.

Manchester United fought back, with Harry Maguire equalizing in the 87th minute, setting up a tense finale.

 

However, it was Iwobi who had the final say, capitalizing on a late opportunity to secure all three points for Fulham.

The result will be a bitter blow for Manchester United, who were unable to capitalize on their recent good form to pick a win, or share points.
