EPL: Kudus inspires Tottenham to victory over Leeds

Mohammed Kudus delivered a stellar performance as Tottenham Hotspur defeated Leeds United 2-1 at Elland Road, ending the hosts’ year-long unbeaten home run in the league.
Leeds last suffered a home defeat in September 2024 against Burnley, but their impressive record came to an end on a rain-soaked afternoon as Kudus ran the show for Thomas Frank’s side.
Kudus leads Spurs’ charge
The Ghanaian international played a key role in both Tottenham goals, first assisting Mathys Tel’s opener before restoring the lead himself with a fine finish.
Tel opened the scoring with a thunderous 20-yard strike after latching onto Kudus’ incisive through ball.

The effort took a slight deflection off Pascal Struijk, wrong-footing Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow.
Leeds responded through Noah Okafor, who pounced on a rebound after Brenden Aaronson’s shot was saved by Guglielmo Vicario.
However, Kudus had the final say, cutting across the edge of the box before driving a precise low effort into the bottom corner to seal the win for Spurs.
Spurs climb to second place
The result moves Tottenham into second place on the Premier League table, one point behind leaders Liverpool ahead of the remaining weekend fixtures.
For Daniel Farke’s Leeds, it was a frustrating afternoon that ended their impressive home record and highlighted the class gap against a booming Spurs side.
