EPL: Fulham sink 10-man Chelsea as Rosenior watches on

Chelsea suffered a damaging Premier League defeat to London rivals Fulham, going down at Craven Cottage as the hosts claimed a deserved 2-1 victory.

The Blues’ evening unravelled further when defender Marc Cucurella was sent off for hauling down Harry Wilson and denying a clear goalscoring opportunity, leaving Chelsea to chase the game with 10 men for more than 60 minutes.

Raúl Jiménez gave Fulham the lead with a well-taken header inside the box, capping a dominant spell from the hosts.

Chelsea briefly found hope when Liam Delap equalised late on, but Wilson restored Fulham’s advantage to seal the win.

The result underlined Chelsea’s lack of control and cutting edge, particularly after Cucurella’s dismissal, as Fulham managed the game with greater composure.

Rosenior faces immediate pressure

New Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior watched from the stands in his first match since his appointment and will have noted plenty of red flags.

Chelsea face Charlton on Saturday night, with Cucurella suspended and momentum firmly against them.

Supporters voiced frustration at the club’s ownership, particularly over the decision to sack the popular Enzo Maresca.

With scrutiny already intense, Rosenior now faces immediate pressure to stabilise performances and deliver results.
