EPL: Fulham intensify move for Chukwueze permanent deal

Fulham have stepped up efforts to sign Samuel Chukwueze on a permanent basis, opening talks with AC Milan ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Nigerian winger has impressed during his loan spell in the Premier League, showing improved form after a difficult period in Italy.

Loan spell boosts value

Chukwueze’s performances have convinced Fulham of his long-term value, particularly after a standout display against Manchester City, where he scored twice.

His adaptation has been aided by the presence of international teammates Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, helping him settle quickly at Craven Cottage.

The 25-year-old has benefited from consistent playing time, contributing more effectively in attack and regaining confidence.

Talks underway with Milan

According to Bold Sports, Fulham have reportedly signalled their intention to trigger the purchase option included in the loan agreement.

The clause is believed to be worth around €24 million, potentially rising to €28 million with add-ons.

Chukwueze is understood to be open to remaining in England, with negotiations expected to progress if a formal offer is submitted.

For Milan, the deal offers a chance to recoup a significant portion of their investment, particularly given competition for places within the squad.

The outcome now depends on Fulham formalising their approach, but current indications suggest both clubs are aligned on reaching an agreement.
