Eintracht Frankfurt reject Newcastle’s €80m bid for Hugo Ekitike

Eintracht Frankfurt have turned down an €80 million offer from Newcastle United for French striker Hugo Ekitike, according to Sky Germany.

The Premier League club had initiated contact with Ekitike and subsequently submitted a formal bid.

However, the Bundesliga side quickly rejected the proposal, citing concerns over the structure of the payment and a valuation they deem insufficient.

Frankfurt reportedly believe they can command a higher fee for the 22-year-old forward, with indications that other suitors are willing to exceed Newcastle’s offer.

The German club has earned a reputation as tough negotiators in recent years, notably securing €95 million from Paris Saint-Germain for Randal Kolo Muani and holding firm on Omar Marmoush’s €75 million valuation before his move to Manchester City.

With their strong financial footing, Frankfurt are under no pressure to sell.

Should Ekitike depart Deutsche Bank Park this summer, the club is expected to demand a fee in the range of €90–€100 million.
