Ebuka Obi-Uchendu (b. 14 July 1982) is a Nigerian media personality. He has hosted the reality show Big Brother Naija, the chat show Rubbin’ Minds on Channels TV, and co-hosted The Spot and Men’s Corner on Ebonylife TV. He is a brand ambassador for Budweiser Nigeria, Samsung Nigeria, and 2Sure Nigeria.
Obi-Uchendu was nominated for various awards and won Outstanding TV Presenter of the Year at the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards for his work on Rubbin’ Minds.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was born on July 14, 1982, to his banker father, Chief Ezeagada of Okija, and his mother, a nurse at a public hospital in Benin City, Edo State. He’s the third of four children. He has three siblings: an elder sister, an older brother, and a younger brother. His elder sister is called Iphie Obi-Uchendu.
He completed his nursery and primary schooling in the city of Benin, central Nigeria, and passed the secondary school entrance test as early as Primary 4. Following that, he and his family moved to Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu completed his secondary school at Abuja’s Christ the King College before enrolling at the University of Abuja in 1997 and graduating in 2004. In 2005, he graduated from the Nigerian Law School in Bwari, Abuja.
After graduating from the Nigerian Law School, Bwari in Abuja in 2005, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu returned to school. In December 2010, he got his Master of Laws degree from the American University’s Washington College of Law, specialising in intellectual property and communications law through the Law and Government program.
Career
In 2006, he competed as one of 14 housemates on the inaugural season of Big Brother Naija, finishing in eighth place. He is recognised as one of the most successful contenders in the 2006 season. In January 2017, it was confirmed that he would host both the second and third seasons of Big Brother Naija.
Following the reality program in 2006, he acquired sponsorship deals with a telecoms and brewing firm and then presented Friend or Foe on NTA, the GLO program on NTA, and Guinness’ Greatness TV. He also wrote a weekly piece, Contrast, for Nigeria’s national daily newspaper, This Day. He has written for several other magazines, including What’s New and Ace Magazine.
In the run-up to Nigeria’s 2011 general elections, he organised the first presidential debate on young people’s problems, which was televised live throughout the country. He also serves as a freelance master of ceremonies (MC) at events.
Rubbin’ Minds, a Nigerian television chat program, introduced Obi-Uchendu as its host in 2013. Obi-Uchendu joined Lamide Akintobi and Zainab Balogun as co-hosts of DStv’s The Spot in 2013. In July 2016, he became the presenter of Men’s Corner, Nigeria’s first all-male TV chat program.
Before the Big Brother Naija Season 5 reunion, some fans demanded that Obi-Uchendu stand down as host, while others, including various celebrities, supported his performance.
