Drama as NEPA take light as residents in a hostel are trying to kill snake

A sudden power outage caused panic at a Nigerian hostel when residents were attempting to kill a snake that had entered one of the rooms, leading to a tense and chaotic scene.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred in the evening when a snake was spotted in a hostel room shared by seven men.

Snake sighting triggers hostel panic

Three of the men stood by while another resident held a stick, preparing to strike the snake.

The sudden outage, attributed to the Nigerian Electricity Supply Company (NESCO/NEPA), forced the men to fumble in the dark, heightening their fear.

Residents said that the snake slithered around as they tried to regain control, with some fearing they could accidentally harm each other in the dark.

After several tense minutes, power was restored, allowing the hostel residents to finally locate and drive the snake out.
